I feel so lucky at the moment, I'm getting to shoot more with more families and friends!
A couple of weeks ago I spent an afternoon with Mel, Chris and their beautiful family; we got fortunate with the weather and all had a great time. We started off catching up in the kitchen of their beautiful home, a spot of 'cake making' and some time with their dog, before packing up the car and taking a walk over Cannock Chase.
Getting out for a wander really helps the session feel a littel more relaxed and takes the focus (pardon the pun) off me holding the camera, enabling me to capture more natural moments. The fact there's some wonderful woodland on our doorstep I will never take for granted, and its something everyone appreciates.
After a minor detour, we walked down to the stepping stones and stream before heading back through the chase and up the biggest hill I could find for them to climb!
One thing I tried this session is handing over a disposable camera for their eldest daughter to play with, it made for great fun and providing a 'shoot list' for her meant that she got involved and really enjoyed it more too - some of her shots are also below!
I loved spending time with the family and I'm really proud of the results!
And as promised, here's some of the disposable camera shots...
