I met and photographed a wonderful family at the end of March, whilst it'd been arranged a while, it was a little reliant on their newborn arriving on time. Fortunately for me, their son was born a few weeks before we met up and so the timing couldn't have been better.
I feel so lucky that I get the opportunity to shoot with so many amazing people, families especially, and I think watching their interactions and feeling how close they are as a unit is pretty inspiring. Becci's family were fantastic to meet and spend time with; we began at the house where I met her husband, Andy, and children, Woody a whole 3 weeks old, and Betsy who was so confident and full of energy and curiosity - I seem to get on well with most kids, but there's usually a warm up period where the kids are a little shy - not this time! Betsy was grabbing her shoes and asking me to 'take a picture' so we soon headed off for a walk around the village.
Andy, was a really good sport - was happy to get stuck in make suggestions for shots and had a brilliant sense of humor, (I think I must have at least one shot where he's not pulling a face somewhere!) Their village was beautiful and coupled with the weather really made for a great couple of hours. After the walk we headed back to the house for a drink and a few shots with the kids together - by then Woody was pretty exhausted and so I left them all to rest!
