At the end of January I got together with Zoe and Chris to get some shots of them together; Zoe is also a photographer, and so I understand getting pictures of your with your partner can be a nightmare - as you are always holding the camera!
We'd spoken before the end of 2016 about doing a session near them in Birmingham and so planned to make use of 2 loacl parks; we started at Moseley Park before moving onto Cannon Hill Park. Cannon Hill is well known locally as not only is it a large park with plenty to do; it also houses the MAC (Midlands Arts Centre). I'd never visited Moseley Park before but it was beautiful - we also got very lucky with the weather as the 24 hours leading up to our shoot had seen a lot of rain! The sun broke though about 11am and we met up at noon.
After we'd avoided the black swans, a spiders' web and the huge muddy puddles, we strolled back to the car to switch locations and get into Canon Hill. Despite the weather turning really nice, the park was surprisingly quiet - being the main park in Birmingham and with loads for families to do, I was expecting to fight for space for us to use. We took our time around the park and just managed to finish as the skies turned black and the heavens began to open again.
Spending time with Zoe and Chris was brilliant; they are such a friendly couple, who were really excited to get out and find the best locations possible; they welcomed my ideas and got involved by making some suggestions of their own too. The colaboration meant that we got some great shots and hopefully some that they are just as pleased with.
