After meeting with Nicky and Jack last year, I felt very lucky to have be invited to capture their wedding - they are such an awesome couple and I loved every minute about working on their big day, from the early meetings and venue visits, all the way to shooting, editing and delivering the final package.
Watching from the sidelines and seeing some of the preparation work that couples do is often quite something - I spoke to Nicky a few days before her wedding and she was busy buying all the eggs she needed to make her own wedding cake - added to that the fact she'd been making the origami floral bouquets herself, she's got some serious skills!!
The venue was superb; Wethele Manor based on the outskirts of Leamington Spa, is a stunning location and you had the feeling no matter what the weather, this would be an awesome choice to have any wedding at. We met up late in 2016 to take a peek together and check out the space that the venue had and I was impressed! It had a great space for an outdoor ceremony as well as a room inside just incase the weather didn't play ball. The venue also had a huge marquee added to part of the building which featured a room with a stage area - which was perfect, as Jack is a killer musician and had planned to play with his brother and band in the evening.
So, onto the day, and what started out as a pretty gloomy morning, burst into life about an hour before the ceremony; the sun cleared the clouds and the outdoor ceremony was bathed in sunshine. Nicky looked stunning, and Jack brushed up pretty well too - from then on the day flew by and was a pleasure to be a part of - the guests were all fantastic and really enjoyed themselves. Below is a little selection from the shots taken.
Congratulations Nicky and Jack, wishing you all the best for your lives as husband and wife!
