One of the more creative shoots we did in France involved an amazing soft play area - owned and run by Emilie's mother! First off, if I was a kid (well a younger one anyway), then you'd have had to drag me away kicking and screaming - its AMAZING!!
Emilie first told me about the venue in the build up, the idea was a jungle inspired shoot, but rather than shoot surrounded by plants and trees we'd be surrounded by ball pools, slides and ropes. Pa Poo's is about 2km from the centre of Strasbourg, its been a long established business and is constantly busy, we were lucky enough to be able to work in there outside of their working hours, but as we finished it was opening up and there was a queue to get in - its so popular and I know exactly why. It was the first of its kind in the area, Emilie's mother heavily researched what they could offer and then purchased all of the equiptment from the UK and had it shipped over. The layout is stunning and I'm sure any family could spend hours there and not be bored, they have a great cafe within the building so parents would be catered for as well as snacks and drinks for the kids. Anyway, back to the shoot...
Marion, a good friend of Emilie's, had agreed to model for us - she was warned that the makeup might be a little colourful and crazy - it did have a lot to compete with to outshine the location - and she threw herself in at the deep end, literally! Marion was brilliant to work with and fortunately she was going to be coming with us to Paris when we did another shoot. We moved plants, and get stuck into the assult courses, the results were fantastic and way better than we hoped for - I just wished we had more time as I could have got so much more!
